First low-cost solar mobile charger of its kind comes to SA

World Panel has launched SunStream, a mobile charging device that operates completely on solar power. Watch us give you a demonstration.

World Panel CEO, John Anderson joins Jennifer Sanasie outside of AfricaCom 2015. Anderson tells us about a trip he took to Uganda where he was asked to help a group of widows living off the grid, with electrical solutions. He says that it was from this trip that the SunStream was born.

The biggest concern the women in Uganda had was how and when they would be able to charge their phones. Watch Anderson introduce us to the first mobile charger of its kind.

World Panel claims to be the first to stream electricity from the sun into mobile devices without using a PC board or chipsets, which often break on solar charging devices.

SunStream is available in South Africa through Vodacom, and sells for R199.
