Durban – Seven children escaped with minor injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said the boys, aged between 5 and 12, were seated at the back of the vehicle on top of the small load of bricks at the time of the incident.
When paramedics arrived at the scene the children were lying on a veld after they had been ejected from the vehicle.
He said the bricks were lying on the road and in the veld as well.
“Two sustained serious injuries and five sustained moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care,” said Bodasing.
