Auditor General to release 2014/15 audits

Johannesburg - Auditor General (AG) Kimi Makwetu will release his 2014/15 audit results during a media briefing in Hatfield, Pretoria on Wednesday.

These results comprise the country’s national and provincial departments and entities for the 2014/15 financial year. The AG will be joined by senior government ministers and parliamentarians.

Makwetu recently announced a comprehensive report on audits that were done on municipalities and municipal entities for the 2013/14 financial year.

According to government’s magazine Vukúzenzele, the report showed that the number of municipalities that improved their submission of financial statements had increased notably across several provinces.
