Bloemfontein – A taxi driver was shot and killed on Thursday in Bloemside Extension 5, near Dewetsdorp Road, Free State police said.
"The man was on his way home after he dropped off a cab at his employer’s yard when three suspects approached him and started shooting," said Constable Peter Kareli.
"On arrival, police found the man's body in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds on his head and upper body."
Empty cartridges were found on the scene.
A passerby was also rushed to hospital after he was shot and wounded in the leg.
No arrests have been made.
