Pretoria - Police foiled a bank robbery at the Soshanguve Plaza shopping centre, north of Pretoria, on Tuesday afternoon.
A police source said officers got a tip-off about the planned robbery.
"Police got a tip-off... that there would be a possible business robbery at the Soshanguve Plaza Absa Bank. The suspects were using three motor vehicles, an Audi, Golf GTI and VW Polo."
The source said police spotted the vehicles, but two of them managed to flee from the scene.
Three suspects were arrested and police recovered a signal-jamming device inside their car.
Further details were not immediately available.
