Johannesburg - Two robbers – now on the run – partook in a game of snooker before holding up a tavern in Bronkhorstspruit over the weekend, local police said on Sunday.
They later fled with loot including brandy worth R107 and cigarettes worth R1 400, the Bronkhorstspruit police cluster said in a statement.
The two men apparently entered the tavern on Saturday night, took some leisure time at the snooker table, before pulling out guns and holding up two tavern employees.
“[The criminals] instructed them to get inside the bathroom.”
Along with their booze and smokes, the robbers also took R4 000 in cash and R2 000 in airtime.
No arrests have yet been made.
