Pistorius will become one of 7 000 prisoners at Kgosi Mampuru II prison. Within six hours of his admission, he will undergo a health assessment and be housed in the prison's hospital section.
There is one doctor for all prisoners and five psychologists. Private doctors can visit inmates at their own expense.
