Final T20 at Eden Gardens abandoned

Cape Town - The third T20 international between India and the Proteas at Eden Gardens has been abandoned without a ball being bowled.

A massive downpour during the early afternoon lead to a very wet outfield and despite the best efforts of the groundstaff, play was called off at around 21h30 local time.

The Proteas won the first two T20 internationals to take the series 2-0 with JP Duminy announced as the Man of the Series.

The two teams will now face off in a one-day international series starting on Sunday, 8 October.
