South African surfers in general are just so cool with their salty hair (and lips), bronzed skin, flip flops, beach buggies and chilled vibes.

As a newbie to any area, being able to whip out a few words in the local lingo will always stand you in good stead. Or, at least you will know what is being said. However, it is not any old English or Afrikaans, Xhosa or Zulu.
