Cape Town - Now look, we all know Great White sharks can get pretty big.
However, did we know that they can get THIS big?
Filmed just off the coast of Guadalupe, Mexico, the footage shows a massive 20-foot female Great White shark nicknamed Deep Blue rubbing shoulders with divers, lowered into her territory in a roofless cage.
GrindTV reports that the video was posted to Facebook by local researcher Mauricio Hoyos Padilla recently:
“I give you the biggest white shark ever seen in front of the cages in Guadalupe Island… DEEP BLUE!!!”
Deep Blue is suspected to be about 50 years old and is said to be one of the largest Great White sharks ever tagged or caught on camera.
Guadalupe is a seasonal home to a few dozen adult Great White Sharks and a popular spot for researchers, divers and shark enthusiasts to get up close to these majestic ocean-dwellers.
Speaking of which... that diver who actually touches Deep Blue's fin! Craziness!
