Cape Town - Sometimes borderlines are more interesting than just a fence between two countries.
Check out these eight interesting dividing lines across the globe:
Poland and Ukraine

Relations between these two Eastern European countries have not always been unproblematic (but then again... is anything unproblematic in Eastern Europe?). So, Polish artist Jaroslaw Koziara decided to make a big statement about unity and how nature and art both extend easily beyond existing borders, by creating two gigantic fish in farmlands on either side of the dividing line between the two countries. Pretty cool, right?
Brazil and Bolivia

On the left-hand side of this image lies Brazil. On the right, Bolivia. Now guess who has stricter policies regarding deforestation.
Netherlands and Belgium

The world's most complicate border probably exists in the town of Baarle on the border of Netherlands and Belgium. While it's actually completely surrounded by Netherlands, there are 24 separate pockets of land belonging to Belgium. To make it easy for people to understand which country they're in, the town has been marked with clear border lines. How very polite
Denmark and Sweden
The Danish capital of Copenhagen is connected to the Swedish city of Malmo by the 8km Oresund Bridge.
Chile and Argentina
Located at 3 832m above sea level in the Andes and right on the border of Chile and Argentina you will find a slightly less famous 'Christ the Redeemer.' Known as Cristo Redentor de los Andes, the statue serves as a marker for travellers and has been there since 13 March 1904.
Austria Hungary Slovakia

How sweet is this triangular picnic table marking the spot where Austria, Hungary and Slovakia meet?
Border of SA, Zim and Botswana
A lookout point at the northern border of the Mapungubwe National Park in Limpopo allows you to see the point where South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana meet. It is also the confluence point of the great Limpopo River and the Shashe.
Border between northern and southern hemisphere
This bright yellow line marks the divide between the northern and southern hemispheres in Ecuador. Pretty cool right?
