Cape Town - Even though we're pretty sold on the idea that earth really is a beautiful place, a set of satellite images we stumbled across online have made us fall in love with our incredible planet all over again.
The European Space Agency (ESA) has been posting some incredible images to a gallery called 'Observing Earth' on their site since 2013, showing the hidden patterns, colours and formations of various locations across the globe.
We've collected a few of our favourites. Take a look:
The hottest place on Earth: Dasht-e Lut desert, Iran
The Glaciers of Patagonia, Argentina
Bulls eye in the desert: Richat structure in Mauritania
