Sleep in the cockpit of this Jumbo Jet hotel in Sweden

Cape Town - If you're after a slightly off-beat hotel experience, this is definitely going on your bucket list of places to stay. 

An innovative businessman, Oscar Dios, thought this Boeing 747 deserved a second chance and converted it into the Jumbo Stay hotel, parked just a short walk from the international Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The 747 was previously in service of Pan Am and Singapore Airlines, but has since been grounded in Stockholm. 

Dios decided to convert it into an nearby airport hostel, and even named his new quirky hotel after his daughter Liv.

One night in the converted Boeing will cost 2 guests in a private room around R2 400, whilst sleeping in the cockpit - with a stunning view of the nearby airport - will costs 2 people around R5 000. For single travellers sleeping in single sex dorms, however, a bed in a dorm will only cost around R750 per night. 

The hotel has 27 rooms that can hold up to 76 people at a time.
