Cape Town - The world's friendliest cities, according to Condé Nast Traveler were recently announced, placing Sydney in Australia at the top of the broad-grinned cities globally.
For the third year running, Condé Nast asked their readers to rate "friendliness" in the cities they've visited.
Judging by the lack of SA cities in the round-up, the Condé Nast guys clearly forgot to include South African tourists in their Readers’ Choice Awards survey.
Yes, Edinburgh is great, but have you been to Durban lately? Dublin in Ireland is cool too, but what about Cape Town or East London or Johannesburg? And Port Elizabeth?! PE is nicknamed the friendly city for heaven's sake!
In May, for example, SA was named among the top 50 most tourist-friendly countries in the world, in an independent Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report by the World Economic Forum.
Durban and Johannesburg have also been listed as two of the most youthful cities on the globe and Cape Town is world-renowned as being one of the most tourist-friendly places on Earth.
