WATCH: Explore the Amazon via zip line with Google Street View

Cape Town - If you've ever dreamed of exploring the Amazon rain forest, a new video from Google street view will either whet your appetite or satisfy your curiosity.

Posted to YouTube on Sunday, the video shows the search engine's famous street view camera being sent through the jungle via zip line, a rather mind-blowing feat if you consider that for the longest time the Amazon was only accessible to the most intrepid explorers.

The Telepgraph reports that the camera is fitted with 15 lenses, which enables it to capture an image every 2.5 seconds. For the video it was attached to a zip wire and travelled at speeds of up to 100km an hour, snapping cool scenes of lush vegetation and the famous river as it went along.
