PICS: Viral #FollowMeTo photo series goes next level beautiful in India

In October 2011, Russian photographer Murad Osmann snapped a shot of his girlfriend, Natalia Zakharova, leading him through a graffitied street in Barcelona.

He posted the image to Instagram, captioned it 'Follow Me' and got an overwhelming positive response. He posted a similarly compelling snap, in a different setting the next day... and then the next and again the next... and so began one of the biggest viral travel-related photo series ever to hit the social media realm.

Then he did what any Instagrammer worth his salt would do and started categorising them under a single, recognisable hashtag: #followmeto (which has in the meantime inspired many to attempt their own versions)

Follow me #barcelona

Since that fateful day in October, Natalia has led Murad through some of the most picturesque places in the world, including various destinations in Italy, France, China, the US and Indonesia, to mention but a few.

However, the couple have teamed up to produce some of the most aesthetically pleasing photographs of their career during a recent adventure around India.

With classic India sights and attractions forming the backdrop, Natalia is decked out in lavish colourful outfits, all with a definite subcontinental slant.
