Every year off-beat travel website, The Guide to Sleeping in Airports, gathers information and ratings shared by readers from across the globe and constructs a list of the best and worst airports in the world.
Their ratings are based on the four Cs - comfort, convenience, cleanliness and customer service... or in the case of worst airports, the lack thereof.

Now in its eighteenth year of existence, Sleeping in Airports released the latest lists of best and worst airports in the world last week, with Singapore Changi International Airport remaining unbeaten in the first position on the 'best' list for the eighteenth year in a row!
We've decided to check out which airports are scraping the bottom of the barrel this year - check out the top 10 worst airports below:
Worst airports in the world
1. Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan
Why bad? Crowds, corruption and aggressive security checks... not to mention a serious lack of technology and cleanliness.
2. King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Why bad? Long queues, rude immigration officers, limited seating and not exactly the most cleanly around
3. Tribhuvan International Airport, Katmandu, Nepal
Why bad? Lack of cleanliness is the main complaint of travellers passing through, especially in the bathrooms, where there is absolutely no soap ever.
4. Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, Philippines

Why bad? Well, the good news here is that Manila's airport has moved up a few notches from its original spot at the top of the worst list, which means the upgrades that started only recently have been successful so far. Nonetheless long queues, crowds, unfriendly staff and lack of seating still remain a problem to many travellers.
5. Tashkent International Airport, Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Why bad? Crowds, crowds and more crowds... and no attempt to organise them into anything that makes sense.
6. Beauvais-Tille International Airport, Paris, France
LoadingTorre de Control Paris Beauvais #Paris #France #Francia #ATC #TorredecontrolParisBeauvais #ParisBeauvais
Why bad? While it's marketed as a Paris airport, it is in fact, located 88km outside of the city and there is no public transport serving it. Which means it's a mission getting to and from the airport.
7. Frankfurt Hahn International Airport, Frankfurt, Germany
Why bad? As with Beauvais-Tille, Frankfurt Hahn is located way outside of the city centre... like 120km outside of the actual city. That's a bit extreme and definitely complicates travel arrangements for the ordinary person.
8. Orio al Serio International Airport, Bergamo, Italy
LoadingNotte all'aeroporto. ?? #night #waitingattheairport #orioalserio #trip #travel #viaggiatori #vagabonda #???? #?????????????? #????????
Why bad? It's extremely cramped and there's not enough seating. Lack of Wi-Fi, lack of power outlets and bad tempered staff are also an issue
9. Tegel International Airport, Berlin, Germany
Why bad? It's a tiny terminal that struggles to meet the growing number of travellers moving through on a daily basis.
10. La Guardia International Airport, New York City, US
LoadingStuck in #LaGuardia for the night. What up #Queens. #JetLife #IGotCompedTho #ThatsAllThatMatters
Why bad? Security lines, drab décor, poor restaurant selection, lackluster cleanliness, counterintuitive layout and the notoriously unhelpful staff are the main grievances.
And now for the 10 best:
1. Changi International Airport, Singapore
2. Incheon International Airport, Seoul, South Korea
3. Helsinki International Airport, Helsinki, Finland
4. Munich International Airport, Munich, Germany
5. Vancouver International Airport, Vancouver, Canada
6. Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
7. Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong
8. Haneda International Airport, Tokyo, Japan
9. Schiphol International Airport, Amsterdam, Netherlands
10. Zurich International Airport, Zurich, Switzerland
