Cape Town - These parents must have read about the angry women that lost their nerve when a baby on board wouldn’t stop crying before they boarded their plane with their baby daughter, Madeline, just before she was about the celebrate her first birthday.
A vote done on News24 suggested that flyers feel that parents should plan ahead when they're travelling with youngsters, much like Madeline's parents had done.
They made an effort to not upset fellow travellers with their baby, that had a good chance of becoming restless on her very first flight. They handed out 'goodie bags' containing sweets, a note and even earplugs in case the passengers didn't enjoy Madeline's "first public serenade", reports Daily Mail.
The note in the goodie bag read, "‘Hi Stranger! My name is Madeline. I will be 1 on December 17th and this is my first flight. I’ll try to be on my best behaviour, but I’d like to apologize in advance if I lose my cool, get scared or my ears hurt. My mom and dad packed you this goodies bag with a few treats. There are also ear plugs in case my first public serenade isn’t as enjoyable to you as it is to my mom and dad. Have a great flight!"
Traveller24 reported recently that Britain aims to scrap air travel taxes for children. For many, this seemed a welcome deduction for a travelling family, but childless travellers are less excited about the easier access for children to planes. What are your thoughts on the matter?
