Well, this is exactly what happened to German photographer and aviation enthusiast, Birk Möbius last week as he was snapping a few shots at the Flugplatz Taucha Aviation School's airfield just outside Leipzig.
During this time he managed to capture the exact moment a Boeing 777-FZN cargo plane was struck by lightning, a surprisingly common occurrence in aviation (but not often caught on camera). The photograph is, however, made even more spectacular by the presence of a brightly-coloured rainbow.

The image was posted to Facebook by the Air Marini charter company, which operates from the air field Möbius was shooting at.
According to Daily Mail, the plane was struck during a 30 minute flight from Frankfurt to Leipzig and managed to land safely without any reported damage.
