WATCH: Lighting strikes Korean Air aircraft's wing

Cape Town - Imagine cruising at 33 000 ft up in the air - feeling close to invincible - when BAM! Mother Nature makes her presence known. 

No, it's not the most reassuring of moments, you're right. Yet this is exactly how Myagmarsuren Ricci, a passenger filming a storm through his aircraft cabin window must have felt when he unexpectedly filmed a lightning bolt striking the airplane's wing. 

Check it out... The footage will have you on your toes for the first few seconds, but wait until around 30 seconds in... Yikes!

The video was filmed on a GoPro Hero 3 on an Korean Air Boeing 777-330, flight KE-644. The plane was en route from Singapore to Seoul when it had to fly through a thunderstorm.

No reports of damages to the plane were made... Phew!
