No, it's not the most reassuring of moments, you're right. Yet this is exactly how Myagmarsuren Ricci, a passenger filming a storm through his aircraft cabin window must have felt when he unexpectedly filmed a lightning bolt striking the airplane's wing.

The video was filmed on a GoPro Hero 3 on an Korean Air Boeing 777-330, flight KE-644. The plane was en route from Singapore to Seoul when it had to fly through a thunderstorm.
No reports of damages to the plane were made... Phew!
