Cape Town - Quick. Name three international airports to where you think most travellers fly from SA...
If you guessed Dubai International Airport, JFK or perhaps Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China, you are wrong.
Unsurprisingly, London Heathrow International Airport is the most popular destination for air travel out of SA. We expected as much. But what we didn't see coming was that SEVEN of the the Top 10 most travelled to airports from South African hubs are on the African continent (or right next to it).
Also, the major international hub that is Dubai doesn't even feature on SA's most popular flight destinations.
Yup, it seems like South Africans have bigger business elsewhere - in southern Africa to be more specific.
