The world’s top 10 most visited countries may surprise you

Cape Town - The World Tourism Organisation has released their list of the top 10 most visited countries for 2013, and we think some of them might surprise you.

Like, we bet you would never have guessed that Russia is one of the top 10 most visited countries in the world. Now would you?

Well, interestingly enough, it is! And it even beat uber popular and exotic Thailand, taking up the 9th position where the Land of Smiles slipped in at number 10.

Huffington Post reports that the World Tourism Organisation recently released their Tourism Highlights report for 2013, which includes a list of the 10 countries that received the most international visitors during the year.

So, while you’re still dealing with the news that Russia beat Thailand, you might also be surprised to find out that China ranks fourth overall, beating the likes of Italy, Germany and the UK.
