Would you wear this awkward new travel headgear?

Cape Town - Would you willingly blindfold yourself and then strap your head to your seat on an airplane in an attempt to get more sleep?

Yes? Then this is the perfect new travel gadget for you.

A new device called Relax Ally boasts to end passengers' travelling nightmares by giving them more relaxed sleep on their journeys, whist also sparing them the embarrassment of falling, drooling and leaning on their fellow passengers whilst sleeping.

This new 'Relax Ally Travel Restband 3-in-1' was developed by a Finnish company called Active Ally Oy. The company patented a head strap allowing passengers to strap their heads to a seat before, but have now improved the product to include an eye-mask and earplugs.

The product aims to prevent micro trauma resulting in pain to the neck and shoulders, reports Daily Mail, as shown in the picture below.

There are various Relax Ally products to choose from apart from the 3-in-1 Travel Restbrand (headgear plus eye-mask and earplugs). The latter product range from R400 to R440 a piece and is available for purchase on the Relax Ally website
