Festivals galore all over SA


Cape Town - Get your festival on this weekend with one of these summer loving events happening right around the country. Whether you're after a morning market, a stomping beerfest or a family friendly to-do, this is the list you'll need to consult. 


Friday 28 November:

Litchi Party - Ballito 
What: A stomping fest for young summer lovers near the best coastal town in KZN. It's held on a litchi farm, which makes it even cooler!
Where: Living Earth, near Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal
Wear: Ankle boots 
Cost: R180, R200 or R500 (VIP)

Bubbly Festival - Franschhoek

What: The French capitol of SA pulls out all the stops and welcomes all bubble-lovers to celebrate the country's finest MCCs. 
Where: Franschhoek, Western Cape
Wear: A hat

Cosmo City Cultural Festival - Johannesburg 
What: A day of fun celebrating SAs beautiful, diversity. There'll be music, sport, a fun run, a gala dinner and many more for young and old. 
Where: Cosmo City Multi Purpose Centre, Cnr S Africa Drive & Angola Street, Cosmo City, Kya Sands, Johannesburg

Sand castle building competition – Blouberg
What: Go have fun for the benefit of the Cape Town Beach Clean-up initiative
Where: Small Bay Beach, close to Blue Peter, Blouberg
Wear: Swimming costumes and sun screen 
Cost: Free


Volksblad Kos & Kunsmark - Bloemfontein
What: A day market under the cool trees of Bloem's Botanical Gardens. It's a great opportunity to buy your Christmas gifts early!
Where: The Botanical Gardens, Rayton Rd, off Dan Pienaar Drive, R702, Bloemfontein
Wear: A sundress or summery shirt

Groote Post outdoor market - West Coast
What: Take a break, round up the family and head out to the country to join the Pentz family in the gardens at Groote Post for their country market
Where: Groote Post Vineyards, at the Groote Post Cellar, off Darling Hills Road 
Wear: A hat
Cost: Free
