5 mascaras that'll really make your eyes pop

Want Gigi Hadid, Christina Milian or Selena Gomez's perfect eye-popping lashes? So do we.

This summer we want the option of simply adding a touch of foundation or a BB cream, sunscreen and a mascara that will give us Bambi eyes. Is that too much to ask? I think not.

But how is this possible you ask? And what will it cost you in terms of time and money? It's very simple: all you need is the right mascara.

But first, a few mascara tips to know:

1. Get a mascara in black, colours are fun, but nothing pops like a heart-of-darkness-type black mascara.

2. Make sure it doesn't clump. Avoid this by soaking your mascara in a cup of warm water before using it. This will make the mascara more liquid.

3. Know that expensive mascaras are not always the best. A cheapie can often go a long way.

4. Cosmo US suggests holding the brush horizontally for a thicker finish.
