Why meteorologists are suddenly all wearing the same dress

accreditation
We all know the struggle of finding stylish workwear that is also comfortable. So can you imagine what it would be like if you worked in broadcast, and your outfits were televised every day for all to see?

That's why when one U.S. meteorologist found the perfect dress and wore it to work, she unknowingly created a uniform for meteorologists everywhere.

The now-famous dress is from Amazon. Someone posted a link to the dress in a Facebook group where meteorologists go to exchange ideas on what to wear on screen. The dress was so well liked that over 50 meteorologists bought it.

It first came to the public’s attention that EVERYONE was wearing this dress when meteorologist Jennifer Myers shared a picture of a collage of weather women wearing the dress:

Since then the pic has gone viral, and people can’t get enough of this dress.

According to NPR, the reason the dress is so popular among meteorologists is because it is fitted, without being too revealing. The panels all sit in the right place to give a flattering shape. It’s also a solid colour, which works great as meteorologists are not allowed to wear prints since it interferes with the visuals behind them.
