- sturdy giftwrap
- washi tape (or use ordinary tape)
- handles from an old paper bag
- double sided tape

To make:
1 Fold a piece of giftwrap in half. The width that you now see is about three quarters of the height that the finished folded bag will be, so be sure to use the right size paper.
2 Turn the paper so the fold is at the top and fold the one open side inside the other. Press the sides flat and stick washi tape along the open seam. Stick the inner seam closed too, to strengthen it.
3 Now fold the underneath section of the bag about a quarter of the way up.
4 Open out this folded section again and press the right-hand corner flat so it forms a triangle.
5 Repeat on the left-hand side.
NOTE: Make all the folds as sharp as you can for a neat and sturdy end product.
6. Fold the bottom flap up to the middle.
7 Fold the flap down to the middle.
8 Stick washi tape along this bottom seam.
9 Cut off the top of an old paper bag where the handles are attached. Stick double-sided tape at the bottom of each handle section.
10 Stick the handle sections firmly inside your gift bag. You can line the bottom and finish the inner edge with a strip of paper, if you prefer.
