If you haven't heard of this show, or haven't gotten around to watching it yet, then you have done yourself a disservice.
The basic premise? A mysterious, badass, seriously intelligent law professor chooses 5 students to work for her to help with actual cases. They all become entangled in a murder plot while exploring the good, bad and ugly in the world.
Here are 7 reasons why you should block out a day (or several) in your calendar and get watching:
1. Viola Davis
Her performance as the no-nonsense law professor/defense attorney Annalise Keating is more than enough reason to start binge-watching the entire series immediately. She didn't win an Emmy for nothing, ya'll. You’ve never seen a multi-faceted character quite like this.

2. The rest of the cast are pretty great too
So who else can you expect to see on the show? Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas from the Harry Potter series), Matt McGorry (Orange is the New Black), and Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, and Karla Souza as her students. The cast also includes Charlie Weber (pretty much one of the hottest men alive) and Liza Weil (Gilmore Girls) as her assistants.

3. Shonda Rhimes
The creator of both Grey's Anatomy and Scandal (The Fixer in SA) is an executive producer on the show. Even though it was created, and is mostly written by Peter Nowalk, anything Shonda attaches her name to is bound to be addictive.

4. The sex scenes
Often TV sex is awkward and too long. They also tend to only show straight couples going at it, or glorifies lesbian relationships. HTGAWM doesn't do that. The sex scenes are not only hot, raw and very real, but they show sex between men and women, two men and two women. Hoorah!

5. It keeps you guessing
With a great mixture of drama, suspense and mystery, this show keeps you on your toes. You might think that you know what's going to happen next , or that the show is becoming predictable, but even when guess correctly, it comes with a twist. And every single episode ends with a cliffhanger.

6. You'll question yourself, like, constantly
What would you do if you were a lawyer whose client did something awful, but it was your job to clear them? Or if you were faced with lying (or worse) to protect someone? Do you love or hate Annalise? Do you love or hate everyone else on the show? It messes with your mind, but it's SO GOOD.

7. Have I mentioned Viola Davis is in this?
Seriously, just start watching it already. I promise you won't regret it.
