Los Angeles - Katy Perry hasn't spoken to her ex-husband Russell Brand since he texted her telling her he wanted to file for a divorce in late 2011, or so The Daily Telegraph claims.
The Daily Telegraph on Sunday published an interview they had with Katy Perry in which she discusses her relationship with ex-husband Russell Brand.
The news website reported that the 30-year-old pop star and the 39-year-old comedian married in 2010, and had a cat together, named Rusty - a combination of their two names - but that Katy revealed she's changed the name of the cat, as well as cutting him out her life.
Katy said: "Russell hasn't spoken to me since he texted me saying he was filing for divorce. I don't want to talk about him - my songs will say what I need to say.
"I still have the cat, but I've changed her name to Monkey."
It has now however been revealed that while the interview with Katy Perry did happen, it happened 3 years ago.
Naming and shaming, Katy Perry took to her Twitter account to reveal The Daily Telegraph had in fact repurposed an interview that happened shortly after her divorce back in 2012.
It's really inappropriate when journalists repurpose interviews done 3 yrs ago in context of promoting a film & then stamp a new date on it.
