Kelly Osbourne pays tribute to Joan Rivers with a white bumblebee tattoo

Los Angeles - Kelly Osbourne has got a tattoo of a bumblebee in honour of her late friend Joan Rivers.

The Fashion Police presenter took to her Instagram account to post a picture of herself being inked with the design by tattooist Mark Mahoney at the Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood - a tattoo parlour favoured by celebrities - and posted a heartfelt message in tribute to her late co-host, who died last month aged 81.

Kelly's idea to get a bumble bee tattooed on her right shoulder is a direct reference to Joan as a bee pin, which was the signature design in the late comedienne's jewellery line.

Joan often talked about her fascination with the insects, including the quote Kelly posted on her social networking site.

The 29-year-old star was left devastated following Joan's passing and recently admitted she was keen to adopt her dogs, a Havanese, a Japanese Chin, a Jack Russell terrier and a border collie.

Kelly's inking comes just one day after actress Zelda Williams headed to the Shamrock Social Club to get a tattoo of a humming bird on her right hand in tribute to her late father Robin Williams, who took his own life in August.

For poppo. Thank you to the incomparable @dr_woo_ssc for so beautifully bringing my reminders to life. I'll always put my hand out to shake with a smile. As for this Instagram, I don't know in what capacity I'll continue using it in the future, but I'm leaving it up regardless so that fake accounts hoping to use my name or misuse my family's photos will get no traction. To be clear, this is MY ONLY account. Publicly, I have Twitter, and this. If other people post quotes and photos claiming to be me or my family, please, do not send them personal information or click links, even for charity. They could be utilizing sympathy to scam you. For the record, no one has ever or will ever speak for me but me. Thank you.
