Watch Jennifer Lawrence praise Amy Schumer with a beer in her hand

Los Angeles - Jennifer Lawrence thinks Amy Schumer is "the shit".

The Oscar-winning actress - who is currently writing a screenplay with the American comedian - has revealed her favourite moment of 2015 was when she and her friend got drunk and danced on the piano of music star Billy Joel.

She told Entertainment Weekly: "Amy is, like, the shit.

"We got so drunk we ended up on top of Billy Joel's piano. That was really cool ... she didn't have to share that piano with me and she did."

Meanwhile, Jennifer also admitted it's time to "move on" from the Hunger Games franchise, which helped establish her as one of Hollywood's most in-demand actresses.

She said: "It's crazy. I signed on to these projects when I was 20 years old. I remember being like, 'Oh my God, I'm going to be 25 when I'm finished. It seemed so far away.

"It does feel over. It didn't for a while and I didn't think it would ever sink in, but it has now. It feels over. And that's okay. It's okay to move on."

This comes shortly after Jennifer said her co-star Liam Hemsworth and his family are "real animals".

According to Jennifer, the Australian hunk and his older brothers, Chris Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth, have some "disgusting" habits Asked why she regularly calls her Hunger Games co-star a "bear", she said: "He's an animal! His whole family, they're real animals. It's the craziest family I've been around in my life. The way that they communicate is so physical and crazy.

"It's like, 'Eat this scab and I'll give you five bucks!' They're disgusting. They're real bears; they're animals!"
