Los Angeles - Kylie Jenner and Tyga were "best friends" before they started dating.
The 18-year-old star and her rapper boyfriend - who were recently rumoured to have split - have known each other for a number of years, and Kylie has revealed they were happy being pals before their relationship took a romantic turn.
She shared: "We just honestly ... We became best friends before anything happened so I think that, that's awesome and we're just like ... I don't know. Hanging out. Living life."
Kylie also rubbished speculation that she and the 26-year-old hip-hop star are no longer an item.
She told Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show: "No. We're not broken up."
This comes shortly after a source close to the celebrity couple claimed their relationship is "shaky".The insider said: "Nothing is really set in stone. It's kind of up in the air.
"Kylie keeps throwing everybody off, including all of their friends. In theory, they're kind of done and not going to be together, but then she'll go and post a Snapchat of them holding hands.
"Everybody's super confused by it. There's not really an answer one way or another, but without question, the ball is in her court. Things are definitely shaky."
