Zombie movie to be filmed in Cape Town

Cape Town – If you think you’ll make a good zombie your big break could be right around the corner.

A Hollywood zombie movie will start filming in Cape Town later this year.

According to the casting call the film is part 6 of a well-known series.

If you’re very skinny, double jointed or an arm or hand amputee, you fit the bill.

This is not the first time a post-apocalyptic flick has been filmed in Mzansi. In February 2007 scenes for the movie Doomsday were filmed in Cape Town.

"The landscape, the rock formations, I thought it was about as close to Scotland as you're likely to get, outside of Ireland or Wales," director, Neil Marschall, told scotsman.com about filming scenes for Doomsday in SA.

Last year the first African zombie movie, Last Ones Out, was also shot here. The film premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
