What's it about:

Fed up with answering to higher-ups, Nick, Dale and Kurt decide to become their own bosses by launching their own business. But, a slick investor soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed, desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor’s adult son and ransom him in order to regain control of their company.

What we thought:

I was lucky enough to be one of the few people that got to watch Horrible Bosses 2 in London way before its official release.

Afterwards I got to sit down and chat to the cast about the movie and their hilarious characters. Yes, Jennifer Aniston is just as pretty in real life as she is on the big screen. Yes, Jason Bateman is really that funny.

I’ll admit that this once in a lifetime opportunity to watch the movie and then sitdown with the cast and talk about it definitely made me see the film in a completely different light. For me it wasn’t just a popcorn and Coke experience. It was an adventure.

In the sequel Dale, Kurt and Nick decide to start their own business but things don't go as planned because of a slick investor, prompting the trio to pull off a harebrained and misguided kidnapping scheme.

It’s great to see all the hilarious characters from the first movie return. The three guys effortlessly reprise their roles ensuring plenty of LOL moments. And like Jennifer admitted it was just as much fun on set as it appears on the big screen.

Chris Pine, in the role of Rex Hanson, is a great new addition to the cast with his douchebag character stealing the spotlight in most of the scenes.

One of the best scenes in the movie comes courtesy of Kevin Spacey and his wrinkly, shriveled up sack of balls speech. Like Aniston’s character he only makes a few brief appearances which is really a shame as both of them are favourites from the first film.

Horrible Bosses 2 is a sit back, relax and laugh your ass off type movie. It’s definitely not as good as the first one, but it’s not a train wreck either. You’ll watch it, enjoy it and then go on with your life.
