What's it about:

Tarzan and Jane Porter face a mercenary army dispatched by the evil CEO of Greystoke Energies, a man who took over the company from Tarzan's parents, after they died in a plane crash.

What we thought:

Tarzan 3D will be a trill to watch for fans of the story that has been told and retold time and time again through series and theatre releases alike.

But if you are looking for something different, than another side to the Tarzan story you will be sadly disappointed. It’s the same old how Tarzan met Jane and how he ended up in a position where he got to be raised by gorillas in the jungle story, the one you have watched a few times only this time it’s in 3D.

The banal, outsiders coming into the jungle to disturb the peace in search of something  that will make them wealthy leads to Tarzan having to be the hero and save the day with the lovely Jane by his side.

There were times in the film where it was a little bit enjoyable, like the "locations" are amazing it’s visually captivating, but it’s mostly boring and just when you think it is about to reach the climax it hits you that the climax itself is not that entertaining.

Tarzan who is voiced by Kellan Lutz played the role really well apart from some cringe worthy moments especially when he does that annoying gorilla call of his which I felt was a little bit overdone throughout the film.

The animation itself was beautifully done however; the storyline can sure use a facelift.
