Cape Town - With her wild hair, gifted voice, untainted spirit and immensely mammoth heart, it is no wonder Lakota Silva is brewing up an electrifying wave in the South African music industry, and soon- internationally.

Lakota Silva born and raised in Cape Town, attended schools in which she could pursue her love for performance.

Along with her love for singing, Lakota Silva is a dancer and more-so, has a live performance degree in acting.

She starred alongside big names in some of South Africa’s local films, as well as won for herself South African colours for Hip Hop dancing, all before gracing 20 years.

One achievement never pulled the reigns back. Lakota always strived for more.

Lakota Silva’s mammoth talent was recognised and brought to national light when she featured in Locnville's greatest climbing hit ‘Closer’, performing alongside them as part of the opening act for Justin Bieber in May 2013.

Lakota has since paired up with the likes of electronic duo Pascal and Pearce, as well as DeaderThanDisco, RoyalK, Ameen Harron and most recently a new smashing climber ‘PopYaLikeA’ for a tri-collaboration with artists' Locnville and Reason.

Described as the 'collaboration queen' by People Magazine, it has come as no surprise that this has merely been the beginning rise to her much anticipated Lakota Silva debut, happening October 2014.

The buzz around this new electrifying female artist is brewing! Lakota’s goal is to perfect her artistry and to story-tell in an electrifying and unforgettable way. Her music is her choice of weaponry.

Her debut single Do Re Mi is already creating waves and her EP is scheduled for release in November.
