Cape Town – It's the 31st of October which means it's time to dress up for Halloween!

To help you get your Halloween on we decided to put together this handy gig guide so you can catch a Halloween party near you.

PRETORIA

Arcade Empire will be hosting a Halloween Block Party Experience with 3 stages including an Outdoor Tented Stage. Each stage will have its own unique Halloween theme. JOHANNESBURG

Start your preparations… it’s back! This Balkonology Halloween event, called Zoltar’s Halloween Carousal, will be a monumental occasion and opportunity to get a glimpse of what the future holds and a once in a lifetime chance to alter it. Stand face to face with the Great Zoltar and be humbled. The line-up will feature Zoltar the Teller, Maoriginal, Toby2shoes and DJ Hanuma (Bosnia). Click here for more info.

CAPE TOWN

1) The Galileo Open Air Cinema will be screening The Exorcist Uncut at Kirstenbosch Gardens for Halloween!  
 
Named the scariest film of all times by Entertainment Weekly and Movies.com, the supernatural horror film was inspired by the 1949 exorcism case of Roland Doe and deals with the demonic possession of a 12-year-old girl and her mother’s desperate attempt to win back her child through an exorcism conducted by two priests.

2) Shimmy Beach Club will also be hosting a Halloween party on Friday. The All Hallows Eve extravaganza will be a themed evening party of mystery and suspense at the glamorous lifestyle venue. Tickets are available for a four course meal including entrance to the club; or simply for the after party starting at 21:00.

For the evening, Shimmy takes a step back in time, into the dark era of London in the 1800’s. Murder Mystery style-entertainment with special acts and spooky characters will keep you interested and after dinner top South African DJ’s Sox, Gareth Kenward, Branny B and several theatrical acts will keep the party going until late. 3) Be part of the 1st Annual Halloween Ghost Train costume party in Cape Town! Come dressed in your scariest costume and stand the chance of winning a prize. The party is going to be horrifyingly unforgettable and you'll be graced with welcome drinks at the door, the screams of little girls here and there, music from Garth B and a scrumptious spit braai on the platform.
