Cape Town - aKING launched Morning After in September and it's definitely worth the listen if you haven't gotten around to doing so.

The boys have done it again and returned to their hard-hitting heavy rock riffs, delivering a fresh new sound that will take those summer chill sessions to the next level for sure.

The album includes 12 songs with the overall mood leaning towards a dark rock sound. The hard work they put into the project shows and the lads don’t skip a beat. The album shows off a deep personal touch as a result of the fact that it was entirely self-produced over a period of 18 months.

What’s right with it is that whatever mood you’re in there is a song for it. Each track relates to a different emotion, which is not easy to achieve. Although sticking to their raw sound, aKING manages to take their music to a level where it can be enjoyed by everyone.

The top two tracks on the album are undoubtedly Way You Move and One Hit Wonder. The contrast between the two songs makes for a perfect love/hate relationship.

If you’re feeling kind of down and just want to have a good cry give the last track, In Loving Memory, a listen. The tears will flow.

Overall we give the album two thumbs up. Well done, guys.

This is what aKING had to say about the new album:
