Los Angeles - Marnie from Girls will soon be starring in a new TV show as Peter Pan.
That’s right! Allison Williams will be taking on the title role in NBC’s live-action adaptation of Peter Pan.
This comes after the success of the live-action performance of Sound of Music which starred American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood.
Christopher Walken will play Captain Hook.
Allison released a statement after the news was announced in which she said: "I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about three years old, so this is a dream come true.
"It’s such an honour to be a part of this adventure, and I’m very excited to get to work with this extraordinarily talented team. And besides what could go wrong in a live televised production with simultaneous flying, sword fighting and singing?"
Don't be so surprised by the news - everyone knows that everything boys can do girls can do better.
