Health experts in support of the National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill have slammed a recent research study report conducted by AfriForum that criticised the insurance bill and labelled it an ANC project, of which the revenue is prone to be a honeypot for corruption.

The NHI bill, which was passed by Parliament on 13 June, aims to provide universal access to quality health care for all South Africans as enshrined in the Constitution and is currently with the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) for consideration.
