A former employee of the troubled Akani Retirement Fund Administrators is in hiding as she fears for her life after she was confronted by two “hitmen” early this month. They had been monitoring her movements.

Until early this year when she quit, Thobile Khuzwayo was the head of benefits investigation in pension and compliance at Akani, whose offices were raided by Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) officers in Kempton Park on July 14 last year.
