The South African Police Service (SAPS) destroyed drugs believed to be worth R800 million, on Thursday, October 26, in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The drugs, which included marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and Mandrax, were taken during ordinary law enforcement operations carried out across the country.

The bust forms part of the operation that saw 20 000 criminals arrested for various crimes ranging from murder to rape and being in possession of drugs.
