It's back to business this week, but at least over the weekend, ANC members ignored all the issues facing their party and gathered at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga, which was fully packed with supporters in their party regalia, making the grandstands pop.
The stadium was alive with colourful birthday celebrations, including a mini-carnival that featured South Africa's diverse people and their heritage, as well as a motorcade of bikers. The ANC president gave a keynote address with much jubilation from the crowd who attended the party anniversary.
