accreditation

Who are the richest people in South Africa? How much do they really have? How did they get it?

To answer all these questions requires data. And here it is. Your view into the numbers: the spreadsheets containing details of the country’s top 200 in terms of wealth.

The City Press Wealth Index, which was published on July 29 2018, lays bare the information that you’ve always wanted to know. Everything from their names to their education to their favourite past times and star signs.

The index is compiled in partnership with McGregor’s Who Owns Whom. The entire document is here, but it’s pretty lengthy to download and read.

Here are the top 10 people on the Wealth Index:

But if you want the basics on the top 200 wealthiest people in South Africa – who they are, what their positions are, which companies they’re affiliated to, what the value of their investments are then here is your data.

If you’re looking for more personal details, such as how old the top 200 are, their star signs or Chinese year of the zodiac, look no further.

If it’s their CVs you’re interested in, such as where they went to school, what they studied, and their working history, it’s all here.
