After the disappointment of witnessing Wayde van Niekerk finishing last in the 400m final on Thursday night, Team SA will turn to the men's 4x100m relay team in the nation's desperate chase for a medal at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Sprinter Akani Simbine is expected to return to the National Athletics Centre with the relay team after his last outing on the track ended with a disqualification in the 100m semifinal last Sunday.
