There was a huge public outcry after Sascoc acting CEO Ravi Govender told City Press last week that the Olympic governing body “didn’t have luxuries such as incentives” to commit to reward swimmer Tatjana Schoenmaker and surfer Bianca Buitendag, who won the country’s only three medals at the recent Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
