The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona marked a significant moment for the global smartphone industry, shining a spotlight on the advancements in AI technology driving innovation forward.

Among the notable contributors was Honor, a prominent global technology brand, which showcased its commitment to shaping the future of technology through groundbreaking developments in foldable and AI technology.

At MWC, Honor received recognition for its pioneering efforts, earning the prestigious GLOMO award for Best in Show and an impressive 45 Best of MWC awards from global media outlets.

Notably, this marked the first time in five years that a Chinese tech brand received the Best in Show accolade.

Central to Honor's showcase was its focus on two key strategies.

Firstly, the brand highlighted its new AI-empowered all-scenario strategy, emphasising cross-OS collaboration and human-centric intent-based AI between devices.

Secondly, Honor underscored its commitment to embracing the future of AI through collaboration and openness with leading global industry partners such as Google, Microsoft, Intel, NVIDIA and Qualcomm.

The global debut of the Honor Magic6 Pro at MWC showcased groundbreaking advancements in AI integration, particularly demonstrated through its automotive control capabilities.

Notably, the Magic6 Pro's AI-powered eye-tracking feature allows for hands-free steering of a vehicle using eye gaze interpretation, highlighting the potential of human-device interaction beyond traditional controls.

Additionally, the Honor Magic V2, introduced at IFA in September 2023, has garnered significant attention for its revolutionary design and industry-leading battery capabilities, solidifying Honor's position as a leader in foldable technology.

Winning 27 Best of IFA awards, the Magic V2 is hailed as the world's thinnest and lightest inward foldable smartphone.

Honor's recent recognition as the fastest-growing smartphone brand in South Africa further underscores its momentum in the market. With the imminent launch of the Magic V2 and Magic6 Pro in South Africa, Honor is poised to redefine the smartphone experience with cutting-edge technology, sparking essential conversations about the future of foldables and AI technology and their disruptive potential in the industry.
