Tough questions regarding access to the economy and slogans to this tune have been created to demonstrate that there now exists a certain level of racially or class vested interests that perhaps did not exist so naked before.

Our people have fought and won basic freedoms and democracy but remain largely denied the opportunities to cement ourselves in all sectors of the South African economy, due to history and enduring legacy of economic oppression of the black majority. But there have also been problems of government policies and bureaucratic red tape that blocks endeavours at collective self-empowerment of the majority of South Africans within the economy.
