Edelweiss announces new seasonal schedule

Cape Town - As Switzerland with its white slopes and snow capped Alps continues to be one of Europe’s most popular winter destinations, Edelweiss has announced its forthcoming seasonal schedule.

Edelweiss is a member of the Lufthansa Group and an affiliate of Swiss International Airlines. Eidelweiss is Switzerland’s leading leisure travel airline.

For the fifth year running the airline will connect Cape Town and Zurich twice a week. One of the two weekly non-stop flights will be operated as a daylight flight, whereas both southbound flights depart Zurich for Cape Town in the evening.

The new schedule connecting South Africa to Switzerland kicks off on October 26 2015 continuing until March 25 2016.

The daylight flight departs on Mondays whereas the Friday flight continues to leave in the early evening.  From Zurich the flight departs on Thursday and Sunday evening, arriving in Cape Town the following morning.

"When boarding our aircraft our customers will notice a remarkable difference,“ said Alain Chisari, chief commercial officer of Edelweiss.

"We have completed a major refurbishment of our international fleet that significantly improves our cabin.“
