Cape Town - Skywise Airlines has increased its fleet to two, which has enabled it to have four supplementary flights, the company said on Friday.
The new schedule commences on June 11 2015, between Cape Town and Johannesburg, its only route. This makes a total of eight the cumulative number of daily flights ranging from 6.00 to 20:15.
"It’s now far more convenient for people to travel the same day following a full day’s business or family visit in either Cape Town or Johannesburg," said Tabassum Qadir and J. Malik, co-chairs of SA’s newest airline in a statement.
“We are very excited about the increase in fleet size and daily flights. Skywise is witnessing fast growth and hope to maintain the trend into the future.”
They said additional fleet and daily flights suggest that Skywise is consolidating its position against collective competition.
"This promises well for the expansion plans that have been brewing up during the planning stages of the company and that seem to be panning out accordingly," they said.
